We at OHIO ARROW OUTFITTERS love the outdoors. I was raised in a boat and out in the timber. My father, as like many hunters got me into hunting and fishing at a very young age. I took my very first deer when I was nine with a bow and I have been consumed with bowhunting ever since. I still get involved with other outdoor activities like shooting 3D and fishing. Me and my wife Jana love to travel to the national parks and see all the different critters and mountains that we don't get to see here in Ohio.
I have grown up in southern Ohio bowhunting the big bucks that call these areas home. On occasion I have been lucky enough to take some of these very smart animals. I have learned through trial and error. Lots of errors, because we know who usually outsmarts who. What big deer like and what kind of habitat that make them feel safe. With this knowledge I have become very consistent at getting close to these animals. We scout all year long and spend countless hours glassing in the summers, preparing food plots and trying to figure out what makes these big bucks tick.
We have come to offer very real and very high quality bow hunts. All our deer are free roaming. The way nature intended. A good time is usually had by all and lots of deer are observed while on the hunt. Shots at P&Y bucks are almost certain during November. It's up to the clients to hold there nerves together at the moment of truth.
After the end of January we start pulling stands and scouting for next year. Meanwhile we start getting the Turkey itch, we love spring turkeys! There's nothing like getting in the woods with the sounds of spring and chasing gobblers. I am proud to say our batting average on spring turkeys is very very good. We like to chase them with our double bull blinds and our sticks and string. If you have never gotten one with a bow your in for a real treat.
Once turkey season is over. We by then will have started our food plots for the up coming season and will start prepping stand locations. We also start watching all the bucks again to see who made it thru and who's ate there wheaties and grew up big and strong. Here in Ohio there must be allot of wheaties because our bucks get big. When that's all done It's time to start fishing and golfing. Yes I said golfing, stupid game!
